The sixteenth edition of the Silesia Marathon is behind us. Once again, thousands of runners had the opportunity to finish their race on the track of the famous ‘Witches’ Cauldron’.
Silesia Marathon would not be on the map of Polish races if it weren’t for the team of people who combined their passion with determination and a willingness to act, as well as the participants who take to the starting line of our races every year.
The first running project of our team was the 4Energy Half Marathon, which in 2005 attracted over 400 running enthusiasts to the start in Katowice. The race quickly gained recognition among participants and developed dynamically. Year after year, the number of people willing to participate in the competition increased, and we gained more and more experience, so that in 2009 we were able to take on a major challenge – organizing a race over the distance of 42 kilometers and 195 meters.
